Not if it is kept reasonably small. QR codes include error correction that can recover data even when part of the code is covered. This tool uses the highest error-correction level and centres the logo, so a logo of up to about a third of the width still scans reliably. Use the size slider and always test it before printing.
Yes. Switch the logo option to "From URL" and paste a direct link to an image. The tool checks the link and loads the image for the preview. Some image hosts block being embedded on other sites - if that happens you will see a message, and uploading the file is the reliable option.
PNG is a standard image that works everywhere and is great for screens and everyday printing. SVG is a vector file that stays perfectly sharp at any size, which is ideal for large prints, banners or professional design work.

Yes. Keep the code darker than its background, with clear contrast between the two. Light code on a dark background, or low-contrast color pairs, can be hard for scanners to read.
